Position Overview
The Commercial Banking Associate is an essential role for those who are detail-oriented and driven. This position provides critical assistance to both middle and senior-level Commercial Bankers, acting as the primary liaison for any loan portfolio inquiries. You will engage with commercial relationship and portfolio managers, ensuring the preparation of loan documentation, the onboarding of new loans, and the continuous monitoring of existing loans.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and maintain comprehensive loan documentation, submitting it for necessary approvals.
- Oversee the loan booking process while ensuring that documentation files are organized and any exceptions are resolved.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers regarding loan administrative matters.
- Facilitate loan advances, paydowns, and account transfers efficiently.
- Keep accurate records of financial documents, tracking due dates for follow-ups.
- Handle retail banking transactions, including daily overdraft approvals and fraud verifications, while managing customer maintenance requests across various systems.
- Input data into the Finance Center systems and enter loan terms into ELAR for the production of closing documents.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned to support the team.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Fundamental understanding of the banking sector.
- Self-motivated and organized individual with a keen eye for detail and the capability to manage multiple tasks.
- Inquisitive and adaptable team player with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and resilience in various situations, aligning with our organizational culture and core values.
- Commitment to confidentiality in all dealings.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
Education & Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required; an Associate's degree in a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in Retail Banking is required.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated compensation range for this position is between $20.45 and $26.70 per hour, depending on various factors such as location, skill sets, and relevant experience. Eligible candidates may receive benefits including employer-sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, life insurance, paid vacation, and personal time. Additional career development opportunities and education assistance may also be available.
