Position Overview:
Our Product Management Team is on the lookout for a dynamic Product Strategist specializing in Software Defined Radios & Accessories. This role is pivotal in defining, developing, and marketing cutting-edge wireless networking products. We emphasize the importance of team cohesion and morale, encouraging self-improvement and professional growth among all team members.


Key Responsibilities:
Product Definition:
- Gather and analyze insights from customers, partners, competitors, and internal teams to inform product concept development and planning.
- Conduct market research for existing and upcoming products and technologies.
- Formulate and refine product strategy and roadmap, ensuring clear positioning and robust business case support.
- Evaluate technical and business trade-offs for various product concepts and features.
- Develop and manage comprehensive product requirements and strategy.
- Establish product pricing targets based on market analysis and positioning.

Product Development:
- Assume ownership of the product's technical and business performance.
- Collaborate with program management, engineering, business development, and production teams to ensure effective product development and launch.
- Guarantee that products fulfill essential criteria, including functionality, performance, manufacturability, reliability, marketability, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Oversee product life-cycle management.

Product Marketing:
- Assist the business development team in promoting products and technologies to potential markets.
- Act as the primary technical liaison with customers, advocating for innovative mobile ad-hoc networking (MANET) products and technologies.
- Acquire a profound understanding of customer and market needs to develop appropriate solutions.
- Support product-related bid and proposal efforts.
- Create whitepapers and proposals to bolster marketing and bid efforts.
- Foster relationships with team members based on trust and respect.


Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or software engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Previous experience in product management, product system engineering, or technical management.
- A solid background in product development within the wireless communication sector is advantageous.

Essential Skills:
- Strong critical thinking abilities in both technical and business contexts.
- Quick adaptability to both technical and business domains.
- Proficient in strategic and tactical thinking.
- In-depth technical knowledge of wireless communication technologies, including PHY, MAC, and networking layers.
- Strong understanding of software defined radio (SDR) hardware design, including digital processing and RF design.
- Familiarity with tactical radio systems and the competitive landscape of the SDR market.
- Experience in managing the life-cycle of SDRs and accessories, including cost management and vendor relations.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to synthesize information from domain experts and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.


Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job, including frequent sitting, standing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Regular use of office equipment such as PCs and telephones is required.
