About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead our retail construction projects in Los Angeles. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of projects from preconstruction to closeout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Client Partnership: Collaborate with clients from preconstruction to closeout, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Team Leadership: Direct and motivate support staff, field crews, and superintendents to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Communication and Relationship Building: Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors through clear and timely communication.
  • Cost Management: Forecast and estimate cost changes for project completion, ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
  • Safety Protocols: Ensure compliance with safety protocols on the job site, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Project Management: Work closely with project managers to prepare schedules, organize project structures, select staff, and manage construction equipment.
  • Subcontractor and Supplier Management: Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and utilities to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Project Support: Assist project managers and engineers in their activities, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Job Site Meetings: Conduct regular job site meetings with project managers and regional managers to discuss project progress and address any concerns.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in the retail construction industry.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of retail construction processes, codes, and regulations.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership and team management skills, with effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Track Record: A proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
What We Offer

The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
