Who we seek:
  • A skilled financial modeler with prior leadership experience in a Big4, consulting, or similar client-focused environment.
  • A corporate FP&A expert with previous client-facing roles in Big4 or management consulting, or a proven history as a strategic partner to C-level executives within their organization.
About the role:
  • The Strategic Planning division at Palm Tree provides FP&A, financial modeling, performance enhancement, and additional CFO-centric initiatives to our clients' portfolio companies. This role signifies a managerial expansion within our team.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
  • Overseeing strategic initiatives, delegating tasks to team members, and leading client communication throughout the engagement
    • Designing and executing work streams, often involving complex quantitative analyses and detailed financial models at various levels of granularity to drive operational insights and enhancements.
    • Ensuring quality control of client deliverables, such as Reporting Packages, models, and KPI reports, emphasizing key financial and commercial trends.
    • Conducting thorough analysis on financial and operational data, KPIs, cash flow, net working capital, and debt items.
    • Leading financial reviews to uncover operational insights and improvement opportunities.
    • Managing the implementation of financial operational best practices.
    • Supporting junior team members in financial analysis and operational challenges.
  • Guiding clients on integrating our reports, processes, and deliverables into their ongoing operations
    • Leading meetings, conference calls, and change management activities.
    • Performing detailed analyses and deriving actionable insights from datasets and unstructured information.
    • Collaborating with clients on team structure, business processes, and information requirements.
  • Ensuring effective communication with senior team members through engagement updates.
  • Participating in fostering new client relationships and other business development activities
    • Engaging in client relationship building and business development initiatives proactively.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Candidates for the Lead Associate position should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields; while postgraduate degrees like MAC or MBA are preferred, they are not mandatory.

Ideal candidates should have over 6 years of relevant experience in financial consulting, FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, restructuring, or other roles focusing on corporate operational enhancement. Candidates must have previous experience managing teams across various engagements.

Compensation Details:

The salary range for this role starts at $125,000 and can go up to $150,000, including a competitive performance-based bonus. The final title and compensation package will be determined based on the candidate's experience and demonstrated capabilities during the interview process. Additionally, Palm Tree provides comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a competitive 401k program, an unrestricted paid time off policy, generous maternity and paternity leave, and various other perks.

*Palm Tree offers a "Hybrid" work environment, necessitating a presence in the office for at least 2 days per week. Engagements at Palm Tree may involve 5% - 35+% travel, with the option to work remotely, and with offices located in various key markets.*
