Position Overview

The Nutritional Services Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the healthcare team by preparing and delivering meal trays to patient areas. This position is essential in ensuring adherence to established food service and health guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the preparation and delivery of meal trays to patients, as well as the cleaning and sanitization of all related dishes and utensils.
  2. Effectively communicates necessary information to team members and other departments within Washington Hospital.
  3. Completes and demonstrates proficiency in all assigned technical skills and patient care tasks as per the established Washington Hospital Core Nutritional Services Assistant Skills & Responsibilities.

Compensation: Starting rate of $16.01/hr with potential increases after 90 days of employment, plus additional pay for shifts starting after 10:30 AM and for weekend shifts.

Work Schedule: Rotating shifts including morning and afternoon hours between 5:30 AM and 7 PM, with specific shifts such as 5:30 AM-2 PM, 6 AM-2:30 PM, 10:30 AM-7 PM, and 3:30 PM-7 PM. Availability for work during holidays and weekends is required.

Weekly Hours: Part-Time, ranging from 16 to 32 hours.
