Overview: The Electrical Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical utility systems within the facility. This role involves managing high voltage electricians and ensuring the integrity of the high voltage distribution system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize tasks related to the installation and maintenance of electrical utility systems.
  • Supervise high voltage electricians, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain the high voltage system in optimal condition, particularly during emergency situations.
  • Ensure proper configuration of the Cogen high voltage system during critical events.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of the electrical industry and relevant regulations.
  • Proficient understanding of the National Electrical Code and local requirements.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to utilize computerized energy management systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the electrical field, with a focus on facility-wide electrical distribution systems.
  • Experience with medium voltage cable testing, electronic protection relays, and utility metering.
  • Proven track record in preventive maintenance practices.
  • Possession of a valid U.S. Driver's license and compliance with university motor vehicle policies.
  • Strong supervisory skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Physical capability to perform all job-related duties.

Additional Information: This position may require overtime, including holidays and weekends, particularly during emergency situations. Candidates should be prepared for flexible work hours as needed.
