Job Overview

Position: Customer Support Specialist

Contract Type: Temporary

Compensation: $19/hour

Work Arrangement: Remote

Working Hours: Flexible 8-hour shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends

Key Responsibilities:
The Customer Support Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to credit customers, addressing inquiries related to account details, interest rates, lost or stolen cards, and various other concerns. This position ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations, as outlined in company policies available on the internal portal, including Fair Lending and anti-money-laundering guidelines.

Core Duties:
• Handle a variety of customer service tasks for credit clients
• Escalate complex inquiries to senior staff
• Assist in research tasks as necessary
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other channels
• Resolve issues promptly within designated authority, escalating when needed
• Manage customer correspondence through various mediums
• Keep customer account information current
• Consult with experienced personnel for guidance on complex issues
• Build knowledge of customer service best practices and relevant regulations.

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 1 year in a customer service role
• Strong customer interaction skills
• Research and analytical abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
• Reliable internet connection is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a call center environment
