Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laundry Technician to join our team at MLCV. As a key member of our Grindstone Laundry department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our laundry facilities and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Laundry Equipment: Safely operate washing machines, dryers, and folding machines to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
  • Pre-Sort and Process Linens: Pre-sort linens to remove damaged items and follow established procedures for handling lost and found items.
  • Assist with Training and Quality Control: Assist in training new team members and consistently monitor workstations to ensure high-quality production.
  • Collaborate with Drivers and Supervisors: Assist Grindstone Laundry Drivers with loading, unloading, and weighing of linens, and notify supervisors of any incidents or conflicts that may impact business operations or customer service.
  • Comply with Safety and Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with energy conservation and job safety regulations, and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and 6 months of previous commercial laundry or production environment experience preferred.
  • Special Qualifications: Good hand-eye coordination, self-motivation, teamwork, and schedule flexibility.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and management.
Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to laundry chemicals, extreme heat during summer months, and a moderate-to-loud noise level.
