Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Grand Casino. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building structures, finishes, and fixtures to ensure compliance with applicable building codes.
  • Respond to work orders and complete tasks on schedule, communicating with management as needed.
  • Ensure the safe use and labeling of cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment, adhering to manufacturer instructions and OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and overall condition of the property and grounds, performing tasks as assigned.
  • Interpret and create sketches, blueprints, or pictures to determine dimensions, layout work, and estimate materials.
  • Safely operate a variety of carpenter hand, power, and shop tools, maintaining them in proper operating condition.
  • Operate equipment such as pneumatic tools, electronic equipment, scaffolding, and motorized lifts.
  • Perform general and finish carpentry, working on alterations, repairs, and maintenance of structures throughout the property.
  • Apply wall coverings, paint, stain, and sealers to interior and/or exterior surfaces.
  • Perform special refinishing tasks, including surface preparation, sanding, mudding, taping, caulking, staining, sealing, and texturing.
Requirements
  • Two (2) years' experience in building maintenance or occupationally significant combinations of vocational education and/or on-the-job training.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is preferred.
  • Preferred background in carpentry work.
Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to a low-to-moderate noise level (offices) and a moderate-to-loud noise level (public areas).
