Job Opportunity: Hotel Room Attendant at Grand Casino

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Housekeeping team as a Hotel Room Attendant at Grand Casino.

About the Role:

  • As a Hotel Room Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our hotel rooms, maintaining a high standard of quality and presentation.
  • You will be responsible for managing linen, restocking supplies, and ensuring the cleanliness of common areas on the hotel floors.
  • Our ideal candidate will have prior experience in hotel housekeeping and be able to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Vacuum, sweep, scrub, mop, and clean carpets and flooring in Guest rooms.
  2. Dust, polish, and vacuum furniture, glass, mirrors, curtains, framed pictures, appliances, and other fixtures in Guest rooms.
  3. Scrub, disinfect, and deodorize showers, toilets, wash basins, and other bathroom fixtures.
  4. Maintain familiarity with brand standards and ensure adherence to them.
  5. Remove trash and debris from Guest rooms.
  6. Strip beds, collect dirty linens, and make beds with fresh linens.
  7. Replenish linens, towels, amenities, and other supplies in Guest rooms.
  8. Stock carts daily with supplies.
  9. Strip Guest rooms of all soiled linen and used towels.
  10. Follow all policies and procedures regarding the handling of lost and found items.
  11. Notify the Supervisor of any incidents or conflicts that affect normal business operations or Guest services.
  12. Dust, sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and clean assigned hotel floor common areas.
  13. Deep clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies as needed.
  14. Transport trash and dirty linens to designated areas.
  15. Assist with the arrival of the laundry truck and transport clean products to the storage areas.
  16. Perform other departmental duties as assigned to contribute to the overall success and efficiency of the team.

Requirements:

  • Prior hotel housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA).
  • Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGRs).
  • Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

Physical Needs:

  • Talk and hear; ability to communicate effectively.
  • See and adjust focus to include close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision.
  • Stand, walk, run, sit, (up to 8 hours) balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl.
  • Handle objects, tools, and controls; reach with arms and hands.
  • Be able to lift and carry objects up to twenty-five (25) lbs.

Must Have Skills:

  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation in Guest rooms.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing, and lifting linen and supplies.
  • Strong time management skills to efficiently clean rooms and manage tasks within allotted time frames.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle various tasks as needed.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding service and ensuring Guest satisfaction.
  • Basic communication skills to report issues to supervisors and interact with Guests.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the overall success of the housekeeping department.
  • Willingness to work in various roles and during peak hours as needed to support the team and reduce Guest wait times.
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance, with a commitment to regular attendance and punctuality.
