Key Responsibilities:
In this vital leadership role, you will guide, mentor, and inspire your team to meet departmental goals safely and efficiently. You will collaborate with Engineering and Operations to ensure optimal maintenance of all plant assets, facilitating uninterrupted operations.

Your Focus Areas Will Include:
  • Implementing strategic business plans in coordination with various departments.
  • Overseeing a robust predictive and preventative maintenance program while effectively managing repair and maintenance costs.
  • Fostering a safe and efficient work environment through sustained employee engagement.
  • Acting as a business partner with fellow managers to drive results beyond departmental boundaries.
  • Establishing and communicating a clear strategic vision with achievable goals for the organization.
  • Developing a three-year strategic maintenance plan.
  • Participating in the creation of operational budgets and capital plans.
  • Continuously improving the effectiveness of personnel, processes, and facilities.
  • Identifying and resolving systemic issues across operations.
  • Ensuring maintenance execution is safe, efficient, and adaptable to changing production needs.
  • Managing relationships with union representatives and ensuring compliance with agreements.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in maintenance or engineering within heavy industry.
  • Experience in change management and continuous improvement in a lean manufacturing setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members for career advancement.
  • Proven track record of leading teams to success.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CMRP certification.
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing.
  • Leadership experience in a unionized environment.
