- Assist in the development and implementation of training programs within the department.
- Provide off-hours plant support, being available to address plant issues/emergencies after regular working hours.
- Coordinate the activities of the electrical department with all other departments, coordinators, and subcontractors.
- Document, communicate, execute, and maintain appropriate records for a predictive and preventative electrical maintenance program.
- Enhance the efficiency of the electrical maintenance department through improved operations, inventory management, communication, and team development.
- Completion of a two-year college or technical school program; plus, one to two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years of experience and/or training in HVAC.
- Must possess the qualifications of a Journeyman Electrician License.
- Supervision & Leadership
- Lead and oversee a team of electricians and electrical personnel on site.
- Delegate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Train and mentor junior electricians and apprentices.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Estimate material and labor costs for electrical projects.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance among all team members.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions.
- Investigate and report any incidents or accidents on site.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications preferred.
- Valid journeyman or master electrician license preferred.
- OSHA certification or other relevant safety training is advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a journeyman electrician, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity preferred.
