About the Role

Nucor Harris Rebar is a leading provider of steel and steel products in North America. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Service Supervisor to join our team as a Rebar Detailing Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the detailing services and post-sale functions to ensure work assigned to the location is properly detailed and coordinated with customers.
  • Coordinate outside detailing requirements and contracts with vendors.
  • Supervise and train new detailers to ensure they meet performance standards.
  • Ensure a safe and productive work environment.
  • Lead the post-sale functions across the division, including detailing and project management, financial control, and customer relationships.
  • Oversee efforts to ensure Nucor Harris Rebar fulfills contractual obligations on assigned projects.
  • Work closely with all departments to support commercial strategy and drive business growth.
  • Lead, develop, and execute business strategies, including safety, quality, cost, productivity, profitability, and commercial excellence.
  • Produce monthly forecasting reports to track post-sales targets and budgets.
  • Set objectives, provide coaching, and monitor performance of the post-sale team.
  • Assign detailing work to detailers and outside vendors to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Manage contacts between detailers and customers to ensure accurate information and problem resolution.
  • Review change orders and contracts for profitability and customer approval.
  • Review customer back-charges and negotiate settlements.
  • Manage the performance appraisal process and recommend salary adjustments.
  • Provide consulting services to other Nucor Harris Rebar locations.
  • Manage recruitment, hiring, orientation, and training of new detailer employees and support personnel.
  • Stay up-to-date on technological developments in detailing methodology and equipment.
Requirements
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting or equivalent.
  • At least ten years of experience as a rebar detailer or equivalent industry experience.
  • At least six years of experience with the Nucor detailing system (Rebar CAD) or other CAD-based detailing system.
  • At least three years of experience as a supervisor of detailers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two-year technical degree from an accredited school or college.
What to Expect

This role requires a strong understanding of detailing and project management principles, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.

The work schedule may include hours beyond the normal business day, and travel will be required, including overnight stays. The successful candidate will be required to maintain strict confidentiality regarding personnel situations and certain customer and management information.
