As a Strategic Account Specialist at Spectrum Enterprise, you'll play a vital role in guiding government and education clients through the selection of fiber-based networking and managed solutions. About the Role

We're seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual to join our team as a Strategic Account Specialist. In this role, you'll be responsible for partnering with government, K-12, and university clients to highlight how our telecommunications products can resolve their complex technology needs. You'll also provide dedicated account management, proactively pursue new clients using email campaigns, cold calling, discovery calls, appointment setting, and client presentations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete our 12-week paid sales training that won a Brandon Hall Group gold award for excellence in Best Advance in Sales Enablement and Performance Tools.
  • Travel and consult with established and prospective clients to develop product solutions.
  • Navigate government and education procurement processes to set up successful sales.
  • Deliver product proposals and presentations to decision-makers and conduct negotiations.
  • Travel to client sites to manage field sales activities.
  • Identify target markets, industries, and contacts to expand product portfolio.
  • Encourage client retention through coordinated efforts with multiple internal teams.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Three or more years of sales experience as a proven sales performer; three or more years of outside telecommunications-related sales experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Network building, negotiation, closing, and interpersonal English communication skills.
  • A quick learner, deadline-driven, and the ability to multitask.
  • Availability to travel to and from assigned territories and company facilities. A valid driver's license is required.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in B2B sales selling data, voice, cloud, or video solutions, a bachelor's degree in a related field, and experience working with state and local government or education are highly valued.
