Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
Family Medicine of Abilene, TX is seeking to fill two full-time Advanced Practice Provider positions. With a legacy of 24 years in the Big Country, Dr. Schultz leads a well-established adult outpatient population. Enjoy a collaborative work environment with a supportive supervising physician.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
Friday: 7:30 am - 1:00 pm
Compensation:
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience, aligned with AAPA/MGMA salary reports.
Team Environment:
Work alongside dedicated colleagues in a no weekend or holiday setting.
Role Overview:
As a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will be integral to our core provider team, taking on a variety of responsibilities that ensure exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive office-based primary care, including preventative screenings, patient history assessments, physical examinations, and care plan documentation.
- Enhance care coordination by integrating records from various healthcare visits into the clinical documentation.
- Maintain high-quality care standards and document appropriately to achieve excellent quality scores within payer programs.
- Optimize patient flow to reduce wait times and meet practice productivity targets.
- Foster patient satisfaction through evidence-based education and effective communication.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and valid licensure in Texas.
- Prior experience in a primary care or similar setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) documentation.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A collaborative spirit and a positive outlook.
- Commitment to high-quality, value-driven care aligned with ACO principles.
