Family Medicine of Abilene, TX is seeking to hire one replacement and one additional full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP). With a strong history in the Big Country, Dr. Schultz has cultivated a well-established adult outpatient demographic. This role offers a supportive work environment with a dedicated supervising physician.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
Friday: 7:30 am - 1:00 pm

Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with experience and aligns with industry standards as per AAPA/MGMA salary reports.

Team Environment:
Collaborate with exceptional colleagues

Work-Life Balance:
No weekend or holiday shifts required.

Role Overview:
As a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will be an integral member of our core provider team, entrusted with a diverse range of responsibilities that ensure the delivery of outstanding patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive office-based primary care, including preventative screenings, assessment of chief complaints, patient history gathering, physical examinations, detailed care planning, and patient education.
  • Enhance care coordination by integrating records from acute, specialist, and post-acute visits into the clinical documentation.
  • Maintain high-quality care standards and accurate documentation to achieve excellent quality scores within commercial and public payer ACO programs.
  • Optimize patient flow to reduce wait times and meet practice productivity targets.
  • Foster patient satisfaction through evidence-based education, shared decision-making, and exemplary bedside manner.

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and valid licensure to practice in Texas.
  • Preferred experience in a primary care or similar healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in documenting clinical information within an electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
  • Alignment with ACO objectives focused on high-quality, high-value care.
