We are seeking a highly skilled Information Technology Security Analyst Lead to join our team at the Kansas Department for Children and Families. As a key member of our IT security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our information systems and data.
Key Responsibilities- Perform installation and configuration management of security systems and applications, including policy assessment and compliance tools, network security appliances, and host-based security systems.
- Conduct threat and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in infrastructure projects to develop and implement specifications for network and distributed system security technologies.
- Implement remediation required by audits and document exceptions as necessary.
- Associate's degree in a relevant field such as cybersecurity, computer science, data science, or information security.
- Seven years of progressive IT work experience, including three years of IT security work experience.
- Experience in network security, systems administration, threat detection and log analysis tools, or identity management.
- Incident response experience, including identification, containment, eradication, recovery, and lessons learned.
- Experience with security incident documentation, including incident details, response actions taken, and lessons learned.
- Experience in conducting security assessments, vulnerability assessments, or compliance audits.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Experience in leading and supervising a technical team.
- Experience in network security, including configuring and maintaining network security devices such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Experience in analyzing threat intelligence feeds and implementing proactive security measures based on threat intelligence insights.
- Experience with security tool evaluation and selection.
- CISSP Associate certification.
- A competitive salary range of $70,000 to $85,000 per year.
