Business Data Analyst Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Business Data Analyst to join our team at Seaboard Foods. As a Business Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in helping our business achieve strategic and tactical goals by leveraging analytical platform strengths. Your responsibilities will include developing, maintaining, and supporting data analytical systems, providing insight into business performance, and actively engaging in the business data developmental lifecycle to deliver professional and timely products utilized by the business. You will also facilitate project meetings, including kickoff, status updates, and stakeholder meetings, and plan, direct, and coordinate the project tasks and deliverables to the project team. Additionally, you will foster a positive project culture and motivate team members to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities and Tasks
As a Business Data Analyst, you will be responsible for actively engaging with cross-functional technical and product management teams to prioritize tasks/work effort by understanding scope, requirements, level of effort, and pipeline, and clarify tradeoffs when changes are made to that plan. You will also manage project documentation and report on project status, backlog, and resources. Additionally, you will create, document, and support data visualizations from a wide variety of platforms (Tableau, Power BI, SSAS, Cognos Analytics) and understand basic SQL syntax and data analysis principles. You will translate those principles in a data visualization development environment and help foster and strengthen relationships with members of IT and business owners. You will also implement security policy best practices, including ongoing review of provisioning process, licensing, user access, and structure setup. Furthermore, you will assess new features and tools regarding supported BI platforms, review server and content performance, analyze, test, and upgrade analytics tools annually, and fine-tune all general applications to proactively address system issues. Finally, you will ensure data integrity, acting as a subject matter expert when there are questions, and working on improvement projects.

Requirements

Required: Masters or Bachelor's Analytics Degree, Information Technology, or Computer Science background required. Applied knowledge of Agile methodology and the ability to actively engage with business and IT members on project pipeline is required. 1-3 Years Experience in Power BI is required. Ability to master data management and business intelligence (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) integration and development is Required. Strong communication skills, presentation skills, and ability to communicate and strategize with various levels of management/stakeholders required. Preferred: 2+ years of experience in BI Development or related fields (information technology, business developer) preferred. Experience in AzureDev Ops preferred. Ability to manage complex data environments to generate seamless business reporting tools and KPIs is preferred. Demonstrated dynamic technical problem-solving skills, taking unique and customized development requests to ground and execute deliverables to executive management is required. Demonstrated competence in various business processes to ensure appropriate logic and execution of deliverables is required. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at one time is required.
