About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Hollywood Casino St. Louis. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menu planning, ensuring consistency and quality of dishes
  • Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and storage of ingredients and supplies
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation procedures
  • Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff to achieve high standards of performance
  • Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and high customer satisfaction
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Proven track record of menu planning, inventory management, and team leadership
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures
