Job Summary

TYLin is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to lead the delivery of water and wastewater engineering services to a variety of clients in the NW region. The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring staff, developing and maintaining relationships with existing and new clients, and providing technical excellence in planning studies, preliminary designs, final designs, asset management, program management, bid assistance, and office services during construction for water and wastewater infrastructure and facilities.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients to understand their needs and to ensure that their expectations are met.
  • Provide technical excellence in planning studies, preliminary designs, final designs, asset management, program management, bid assistance, and office services during construction for water and wastewater infrastructure and facilities.
  • Mentor staff, provide career guidance, and support staff development while adhering to TYLin's core values.
  • Manage multiple technical tasks simultaneously to lead teams to complete assignments to the client's satisfaction while following the contract requirements and maintaining budget and schedule.
  • Manage staff assignments and workload to increase efficiency, while helping staff achieve their career objectives.
  • Identify and lead business development pursuits, including positioning and preparation of proposals.
REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering - Master's degree is desirable.

Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering consulting; civil/sanitary studies and design with water/wastewater conveyance and treatment focus; and business development.

Certification: PE certification required; CA, WA, OK or Texas PE certifications are desirable.
  • Demonstrated project delivery experience, including managing client expectations, technical teams, and project finances.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and technical writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Technical and entrepreneurial competencies with a desire to expand client relationships and establish new ones.
  • Commitment to exceeding client expectations and implementing the best solutions to meet their needs.
Additional Information

TYLin is committed to Pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $97,000 to $140,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education, and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
