Position Overview

LMI is on the lookout for a skilled Enterprise Architect to contribute to our mission at a key client site. This role is pivotal in aiding the U.S. Transportation Command and its divisions in achieving their enterprise, business, and solution architecture objectives. Under the direction of the designated government lead, the selected candidate will manage daily tasks and engage with essential stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Possess functional knowledge of Global Transportation within Department of Defense (DoD) systems and processes.
  • Develop a comprehensive design that integrates people, processes, data, and technology to meet strategic objectives and address business challenges.
  • Facilitate project delivery through process mapping, requirements gathering, and support for testing initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, stakeholders, and team members to establish a unified understanding of current and future process flows.
  • Document requirements for the future state processes.
  • Translate business needs into technical implementation requirements.
  • Employ Continuous Process Improvement methodologies to enhance and mature architectural processes.
  • Conduct necessary research and provide insightful analysis with minimal oversight.
  • Utilize critical thinking and systems thinking skills effectively.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Social Science, or a related analytical or technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong time management skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Must hold an active SECRET U.S. Government clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Enterprise Architecture certification (e.g., CEA, ACEA).
  • Experience in establishing enterprise functional and technical architecture design patterns and providing subject matter expertise for governance frameworks in the federal sector.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in drafting a variety of business correspondence, management reports, technical presentations, training materials, proposals, and position papers.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior leadership, demonstrating articulation and proactivity.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks based on guidance from senior leadership while interacting with staff across all levels.
  • Master's degree.
