About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Medical Director to join our team at St. Mary's Animal Clinic in Tucson, AZ. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing medical leadership, managing associate veterinarians, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medical Leadership: Provide medical guidance and oversight to ensure high-quality patient care and exceptional client service.
  • Associate Veterinarian Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of associate veterinarians to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to veterinary medicine.
  • Financial Management: Collaborate with the Hospital Manager to develop and manage the hospital's budget, ensuring financial stability and growth.
  • Practice Development: Identify opportunities for growth and improvement, and develop strategies to drive business expansion and innovation.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in veterinary medicine, with a strong background in leadership and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
