Job Summary

Pima Medical Institute is seeking a highly qualified Veterinary Educator and Medical Director to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for providing medical direction and education to our students in the veterinary program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medical Direction: Provide medical decisions for patients in the program, examine patients for medical necessities, review diagnostic testing, and record findings.
  • Education: Implement and evaluate daily lesson plans, plan instruction to achieve specific objectives, and monitor student progress.
  • Program Administration: Attend IACUC meetings, implement student success plans, and maintain student grades.
  • Student Support: Monitor student attendance, coordinate with student services, and provide support to students to ensure their success in the program.
  • Program Development: Assist in the development of curriculum, coordinate guest speakers and field trips, and prepare lectures and demonstrations.
Requirements
  • Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent.
  • Experience: Three years of occupational experience in the veterinary field.
  • Licensure: Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of employment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, knowledge of computer software, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
