Sales and Event Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales and Event Manager to join our team at AEG. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing events, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to maximize sales in all areas of ticketing, sponsorships, and corporate sales
  • Manage and execute sales campaigns for all concerts and other miscellaneous events at Asteria Theatre
  • Build and maintain relationships with promoters, event producers, sub-contractors, tenants, and clients
  • Coordinate and facilitate the logistics of assigned events, including venue setup, staffing, and communication with building staff
  • Develop and control event budgets, including preparing pre-event financial estimates and post-event financial settlements
  • Troubleshoot during event preparation and during events to ensure that all event setups are correct
  • Monitor in-house setup to ensure that the facility, equipment, physical setup, and labor provided meet the requirements of contractual agreements
  • Ensure that all event insurance certificates, licenses, and permits required for events or production are obtained in a timely manner
  • Communicate and coordinate with the Food & Beverage Department for catering needs
  • Serve as a facility representative at assigned events, enforcing facility policies and procedures, and identifying and resolving public and event-related complaints
  • Analyze challenges, identify alternative solutions, and project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of organizational objectives
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Sales and Event Management experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college/university with major coursework in event management, facility management, sports management, hospitality management, business administration, or related field
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and creative thinking skills
  • Proactive and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects
  • Possess excellent people skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with the general public, staff, and co-workers in a positive, professional manner
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended work days
