Position Overview: The AER Team Leader is responsible for guiding the DCBU COD AER team, which plays a crucial role in supporting the sales organization to enhance growth in commercial, multi-family, RNC, and select large custom home projects. This involves close collaboration with the COD sales team and HVAC contractor clients involved in these sectors. Projects typically range from $15k to $500k+.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the DCBU COD AER Team.
  • Foster a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
  • Train and mentor new team members to ensure their success.
  • Develop and implement effective business processes and procedures.
  • Oversee project planning and tracking to ensure timely updates to project schedules.
  • Create and coordinate documentation to clarify process and procedure modifications.
  • Facilitate solutions for process improvement challenges.

Nature & Scope:

Ensure alignment of work with the expectations, goals, and vision set by the Director. The role is accountable for the execution of policies, processes, and procedures aimed at achieving short-term results. Decisions are guided by established policies and business plans, with support from Senior Management.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple team members effectively.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Proven track record in developing and maintaining organizational relationships.
  • Familiarity with business processes, applications, and workflows.
  • Working knowledge of project management best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, including the ability to develop, delegate, engage, mentor, and manage performance.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with project teams, business partners, and vendors.
  • High capacity for multitasking and adaptability to change.
  • Project-focused mindset: understands and anticipates business and project needs.
  • Consistently meets commitments, takes initiative, and demonstrates accountability.
  • Ability to influence and leverage partnerships effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and relationship-building capabilities.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in sales.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant industry experience.

People Management: Yes

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

Must be capable of performing essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations. Employees visiting customer sites may be required to use Personal Protective Equipment. Travel may be necessary up to 20% of the time, and the ability to lift 20 lbs. on an infrequent basis is required.
