Become a Surveyor Technician in the United States Army
As a Technical Engineer (12T), you'll play a vital role in construction site development. Your responsibilities will encompass technical investigations, surveys, drafting, and the creation of construction plans and specifications.
You'll utilize digital equipment and software to produce topographic maps and charts, ensuring detailed plans for construction projects are readily available.
Your Role:- Supervise and execute construction site development tasks.
- Conduct technical investigations and surveys.
- Prepare construction plans and specifications using drafting software.
- Generate topographic maps and charts using digital equipment and software.

- Technical Skills: Construction & Engineering, Maps & Geospatial Analysis, Data Analysis
- Certifications: Access to 92 nationally recognized certifications.
- Training: 10 weeks of Basic Training and 17 weeks of Advanced Individual Training.
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with a valid Green Card
- Age 17 to 34 years old
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Meet Tattoo Guidelines
- No Major Law Violations
