Job Overview
The Senior Environmental Specialist - Air Permitting is responsible for providing air compliance and environmental assistance to exploration and production operations. This role involves managing the air permitting and compliance initiatives, requiring the ability to juggle various priorities and tasks while ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local air, water, and waste regulations.

Key Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Coordinate air permitting and compliance activities among field EHS representatives, consultants, and operational teams.
  • Engage with local, state, and federal agencies regarding inquiries related to air and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor permitting processes and ensure compliance with agency timelines.
  • Assess and process air permit applications.
  • Analyze regulatory requirements and ensure adherence.
  • Manage compliance duties related to NSPS OOOOa.
  • Oversee LDAR compliance and monitoring.
  • Conduct engine testing and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Administer the PER and emissions inventory program.
  • Supervise the greenhouse gas reporting initiative.
  • Prepare and submit mandatory annual reports.
  • Manage operational field data effectively.
  • Conduct periodic EHS audits, inspections, engine testing, and LDAR assessments.
  • Provide training for field personnel.
  • Assist with additional programs as required, including water, waste, and SPCC initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat and all Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a high-pressure environment with strict deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills for systematic tracking, reporting, and filing of EH&S data.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure all tasks and deadlines are achieved.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-driven with the capability to manage various projects.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in air permitting or compliance is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
