The Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration is actively seeking qualified candidates for the role of Clinical Laboratory Specialist. This position is essential for the Oklahoma City VAMC, where the specialist will be responsible for developing, executing, assessing, interpreting, and validating laboratory procedures and outcomes. This opportunity is part of an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT, remaining available for applications until further notice.

Candidates who are in the process of completing their educational or certification/licensure requirements may be considered for tentative selection but will not be finalized until all criteria are fulfilled.
Essential Qualifications:
- United States Citizenship
- Proficiency in English
Certification Requirements:
- MT, MLS, or CLS certification
Educational and Experience Requirements:
Position Levels:
- GS-7: Entry-level role.
- GS-9: Full performance level for non-supervisory roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily operations and organization of the laboratory
- Conducting a wide array of laboratory tests
- Ensuring proper maintenance of laboratory instruments
- Generating and confirming laboratory findings
- Managing inventory of supplies and reagents
- Adhering to safety and cleanliness protocols
Work Schedule:
Full-time, with 8-hour shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays.
