Assistant Manager Job Description

Hobby Lobby is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Assistant Manager. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing store operations, and leading a team of sales associates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers
  • Manage store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and visual merchandising
  • Lead and develop a team of sales associates, providing coaching and feedback to ensure excellent performance
  • Assist with hiring, training, and scheduling of sales associates
  • Monitor and maintain store appearance, including cleanliness and organization
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise
Requirements:
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Leadership and management experience, preferably in a retail setting
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software
  • Trustworthy and dependable, with a strong work ethic
