About the Role

This is a senior-level position within LCMC Health Corporate, responsible for overseeing the coding and compliance functions across multiple hospitals and facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare operations, coding, and compliance, with a proven track record of leadership and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement coding and compliance strategies to ensure accurate and timely coding of patient data.
  • Lead a team of coding professionals to ensure high-quality coding and compliance standards are met.
  • Collaborate with hospital administrators and clinical staff to ensure coding and compliance standards are integrated into daily operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including payers and regulatory agencies.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and regulatory changes, and ensure the coding and compliance team is aware of and compliant with all relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure coding and compliance staff are knowledgeable and proficient in coding and compliance standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure coding and compliance standards are being met.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to address any coding or compliance issues.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations, coding, and compliance.
  • Proven leadership and management experience, with a track record of success in leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of coding and compliance standards, including ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with hospital administrators, clinical staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date on industry developments and regulatory changes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in healthcare administration or a related field.
  • Certification in coding and compliance, such as CCS or CPC.
  • Experience working in a multi-hospital system.
