Job Purpose: This role is designed to report directly to the National Director of Clinical Sales, serving as the primary sales support resource for the organization and its sales team.

The Clinical Specialist is tasked with bolstering sales achievements for both traditional and specialty products (e.g., DBE, EUS). This position involves supporting clinical demonstrations of products and facilitating the sales closure process, as well as providing education and training to company personnel, customers, and sales partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in driving sales revenue within the designated regional territory as directed.
  • Support sales revenue generation outside the primary regional territory as required and approved.
  • Facilitate the clinical demonstration process in collaboration with sales personnel or partners.
  • Lead the pre-demonstration process to ensure successful clinical demonstrations.
  • Act as a primary driver for sales of the Double Balloon Endoscopy (DBE) product line and support the dissemination of information regarding FICE Multi-Band Imaging™.
  • Serve as a key resource for customer training on the proper use of equipment in clinical settings.
  • Provide educational materials in the field and collaborate with the Product & Marketing Team to develop necessary resources for customers, sales teams, and internal support personnel.
  • Assist in training new field sales and support personnel as needed.
  • Act as field-based experts on proper reprocessing techniques for customers.
  • Support VIP customers as directed.
  • Deliver weekly and/or monthly reports to management as required.
  • Maintain customer data for future database integration.
  • Participate in local, regional, and national trade shows as requested.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, ISO 13485 standards, and other relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of field sales or clinical experience is preferred, with knowledge of GI/pulmonary flexible endoscopy and experience in advanced therapeutic procedures being highly desirable.

Educational Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or related quantitative disciplines is preferred.

Special Skills or Other Job Requirements:

  • Proficient in operating a computer, including MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective use of MS Outlook and other email applications.
  • Able to communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
  • Skilled in time management and regional budget requirements.

  • Comfortable speaking in front of small groups.
  • Able to convey technical information professionally.
  • Understanding of basic mathematical requirements for discount calculations.

Physical Requirements: The role requires the ability to perform the following physical demands:

  • Utilize hands and fingers for manipulation, including keyboard use.
  • Stand, talk, and hear effectively.
  • Lift and carry items weighing up to 25-50 lbs.

Travel: Occasional travel (up to 75%) may be necessary based on business needs.

Salary and Benefits: Competitive salary range of $70,000-$75,000 (commensurate with experience) plus a variable bonus opportunity of $49,500. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, and paid time off.
