Job Summary:

We are seeking an Application Support Analyst to join our Middle Office Platform team. This role is responsible for managing the overall availability, reliability, and defect prevention of our applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to, diagnosing, and resolving service disruptions, identifying and implementing required monitoring and automation solutions, and working closely with developers on continuous integration/continuous delivery solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage overall availability, reliability, and defect prevention of applications
  • Respond to, diagnose, and resolve service disruptions
  • Identify and implement required monitoring and automation solutions
  • Work closely with developers on continuous integration/continuous delivery solutions
  • Conduct root cause analysis for complex production issues
  • Review and evaluate project plans and objectives to ensure they meet system needs
  • Monitor changes to applications and their operating environment
  • Create and maintain support documentation and procedures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • 4-6 years of experience in applications support or production environment
  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
  • Knowledge and/or prior experience supporting Middle office Trade processing and trade flow
  • Reconcile and validate trade capture and day trading activity in a timely and accurate manner
  • Coordinate with front office and other support teams, locally and globally, to address trade related enquiries and issues
  • Analytic and data driven experience in supporting applications part of the Trade Lifecycle
  • Experience in deployment and strong debugging skills in Docker
  • Experience with IBM MQ/messaging and Rabbit MQ middleware queues
  • Experience with Ruby, Java,.NET applications framework
  • Experience with Postgresql and Oracle databases and writing complex SQL queries
  • Experience with monitoring tools a plus - Splunk, AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana, Moogsoft or related solutions
  • Familiarity with ITIL Service Management
