Job Title: Application Support Specialist

The Allegheny Intermediate Unit is seeking a highly skilled Application Support Specialist to join its Technology Department at the Central Office in Homestead. As a key member of the Technology Services team, this individual will be responsible for maintaining and designing data systems that support student and client data operations, data analytics, and strategic decision-making practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the Technology Services Change Advisory Board to identify and prioritize changes to the Technology Ecosystem.
  • Analyze risk, financial implications, and scope of requested changes to ensure effective implementation.
  • Provide input on change schedules and liaise with impacted parties to ensure seamless execution.
  • Support all student/client data operations, including Student Information System data and application management and development.
  • Empower complex case decisions, updating supervisors and determining priorities to achieve departmental work-plan goals.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in technology or business required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience in student information system software application support and/or relational database development/administration.
  • Demonstrated relational database technology experience.
  • Demonstrated application programming interface (API) experience.
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service.
