Your Impact:

The Finance Analyst within the Executive Development Program will play a crucial role in providing financial analysis and reporting support for Carter's, Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning Coordination (70%):
    • Oversee the collection, preparation, and distribution of weekly financial reports to management.
    • Assist in the consolidation and reporting of quarterly forecasts, Annual Operating Plans, and 5-year Strategic Plans.
    • Work closely with department leaders to manage budgets, including forecasting, monthly variance analysis, and reporting.
    • Prepare materials for essential meetings, including Monthly Business Reviews and Board of Directors meetings.
    • Analyze forecast variances to identify key drivers and provide insights to management.
    • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support tactical and strategic decision-making.
    • Collaborate with IT teams to enhance reporting automation for improved efficiency and accuracy.
    • Effectively communicate forecast deliverables to business partners and manage the consolidation process.
  • Strategic Investment Reporting (10%):
    • Consolidate the enterprise Capital Expenditure (CapEx) budget, including forecasting and monthly actuals.
    • Collaborate with business leaders to monitor ongoing projects and forecast future CapEx expenditures.
    • Support strategic investment reporting initiatives.
  • Process Improvement (10%):
    • Identify opportunities for enhancement within existing financial planning processes and lead improvement initiatives.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis and Support (10%):
    • Assist in identifying new business investments and projects through comprehensive analysis.
    • Provide financial modeling support for corporate initiatives and drive data analysis for key projects.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across various organizational levels.
  • Background in accounting or finance with a solid understanding of financial principles.
  • Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to achieve team objectives.
  • Familiarity with accounting concepts and financial statement analysis.

Preferred Skills:

  • Degree in Finance.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience in creating financial models and handling large data sets.
