About the Role

Safe Horizon is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Client Services Specialist to join our team. As a Client Services Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and healing environment for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Intake and Assessment: Conduct emergency shelter intakes, assess immediate safety needs, and develop risk management plans.
  • Client Support and Services: Provide crisis intervention, mediation, and de-escalation skills to diffuse situations between residents and their family members or roommates.
  • Program Development and Implementation: Plan, implement, and research self-care and social activities for clients and their children.
  • Facility Maintenance and Safety: Conduct regular health and safety facility checks, understand and follow emergency procedures, and sort and organize donations.
  • Client Referrals and Support: Provide referrals for clients following their initial Case Management session and assist with basic office tasks.
  • Childcare and Accompaniment: Provide childcare as requested by clients or staff and accompany clients to important appointments.
  • Discharge and Transition: Assist with admission and discharge of clients, complete discharge paperwork, and ensure a smooth transition for clients.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED and two years of relevant experience.
  • Certifications and Training: Obtain certifications in Fire and Emergency Drill Conductor, Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems, and Pediatric CPR/First Aid within three months of employment.
  • Physical Demands: Remain in a stationary position for long hours, lift up to 40lbs, and climb up to six flights of stairs.
