Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Superintendent to join our team at Staples Construction Company, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall on-site management of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction personnel, including subcontractors, to ensure efficient and safe project execution.
  • Develop and implement project schedules, budgets, and quality control plans, and monitor progress to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and other contractors, to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of project progress, including documentation of site visits, meetings, and correspondence.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve project efficiency, productivity, and quality, and identify opportunities for cost savings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in construction management, with a strong background in commercial construction.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery, with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex project issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Project, and experience with construction management software.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly throughout Northern California.
