As a valued member of the Rutland Regional Medical Center team, the Environmental Service Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently as part of a healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional cleanliness and waste management services to all areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, common areas, and clinical departments.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide excellent customer service and support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest cleaning technologies and best practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior work experience in the environmental services field preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and supplies.

Compensation

  • Competitive hourly rate: $22.32.
  • Evening differential: $4.25.
  • Night differential: $8.00.
  • Weekend differential: $4.75.
