We are committed to providing SERVICE to our MEMBERS, STAFF, and COMMUNITIES through INTEGRITY, COMPASSION, and EDUCATION. Our Call Center team members are versatile and passionate about delivering outstanding service while also educating members during interactions.
We are in search of a proactive, amiable, and professional individual capable of working full-time, exceeding 40 hours weekly. Flexibility in scheduling, including occasional evenings and rotating Saturdays, is essential.
This position may offer a hybrid work arrangement following an initial training period, which can last from six to eighteen months. Approval for hybrid work is determined on a case-by-case basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promptly and professionally respond to incoming calls.
- Represent the credit union with friendliness and courtesy.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the services provided by the credit union to educate members and make beneficial recommendations.
- Assist members with account management, including handling paperwork related to fraud.
- Evaluate loan applications and facilitate consumer loans, including installment loans, Visa, and overdraft lines of credit.
- Address miscellaneous requests, including responding to emails and inquiries through electronic channels.
- Safeguard member information and documents, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic team environment.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using telecommunication and basic computer systems.
- Effective communication and business writing skills for both internal and external interactions.
- Experience in a call center environment.
- Background in the financial services sector.
- Familiarity with financial institution software systems.
This role involves extended periods of sitting while utilizing a phone headset and primarily working at a desk in an open office setting. Daily responsibilities include extensive phone and computer use, necessitating standard keyboard functions and repetitive motions. Regular stretching breaks are recommended to prevent injury. Light lifting and transporting of large paper files may be required, with equipment available for managing large quantities of documents.
