Position Summary:
We are seeking a MTS 3 - Hardware to join our dynamic team within the Hughes Network Systems division. This role is essential for advancing our satellite modem technology and ensuring optimal performance in our broadband network operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of Radio Frequency (RF) circuitry and components for satellite modems.
- Serve as the primary engineering liaison with external vendors to establish and validate RF performance testing processes.
- Conduct engineering analyses to define functional requirements, ensuring optimal selection of components and design methodologies.
- Utilize LabView and similar tools for RF testing and validation, including updating and developing new testing codes.
- Implement circuit simulation tools and conduct high-speed signal integrity analysis throughout the design process.
- Collaborate with software and firmware teams to identify and resolve issues related to baseband circuitry.
- Design and execute System Verification Test (SVT) plans to assess LTE and satellite performance of hybrid modem products.
- Identify and resolve RF issues at the systems level, providing thorough analysis and recommendations.
- Conduct product failure analysis, delivering root-cause assessments and actionable solutions.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 6 months of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in radio frequency and signal integrity testing and analysis.
- Proficiency in drafting electrical engineering schematics for RF or Microwave circuit design.
- Familiarity with LabView for testing applications.
