JOB SUMMARY

Cresco Labs is in search of dedicated Material Handlers to enhance our Supply Chain operations. The Material Handler plays a crucial role in providing various departments with essential materials necessary for their operations. We seek individuals with exceptional attention to detail to ensure precise inventory management of both cannabis and non-cannabis supplies. This position requires close collaboration with multiple departments to facilitate the shipping and receiving of cannabis products, supplies, and equipment vital for facility operations. Additionally, Material Handlers are tasked with the responsible disposal of plant waste in compliance with agricultural regulations.

CORE JOB DUTIES

  • Supply all necessary materials to departments at the point of use based on provided work orders and bills of materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of weights and counts for all cannabis products being received or dispatched to other facilities or dispensaries.
  • Implement a first in, first out (FIFO) inventory system to preserve the quality of perishable items.
  • Report any discrepancies in cannabis shipments to department leadership and assist in their resolution.
  • Support tracking and reporting of inventory levels to prevent shortages.
  • Assist in receiving goods, stocking shelves, and conducting daily supply runs for all departments.
  • Operate lift trucks to transport equipment and supplies throughout the facility and to receive goods from freight carriers.
  • Manage the receipt and handoff of shipments to freight and small package carriers.
  • Communicate any shipment issues, including damages, to department leadership.
  • Assist with the removal of grow media post-harvest and operate shredding equipment for daily plant waste disposal.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall operations.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently.
  • Commitment to collaborative work across all company departments.
  • Physical capability to lift, lower, push, and pull up to 50lbs repeatedly.
  • Must complete power industrial lift truck certification and training.
  • Willingness to work in varying outdoor conditions.
  • Able to operate around machinery with moving parts and high noise levels.
