About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team at Florida Orthopaedic Institute. As a key member of our Patient Access team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Manage patient registration and medical records
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry
- Collaborate with facility staff to resolve any discrepancies
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of experience in a healthcare environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and handle high call volumes
- Working knowledge of Windows-based computer environment and typing skills
