Job Summary
As an Administrative Officer with the Transportation Security Administration, you will play a critical role in supporting the agency's mission to safeguard the American way of life. This position is located at Burlington International Airport, where you will be responsible for managing a comprehensive administrative support program that includes financial management, human resources, and procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of administrative, clerical, and technical personnel
- Draft and review policy correspondence to ensure accurate budgetary, personnel, and administrative impact
- Participate in the development of short and long-term strategic planning for the organization
- Supervise and evaluate the work and performance of subordinates
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National
- Completion of a favorable Background Investigation (BI)
- Selective Service registration
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must have one year of specialized experience at the SV-H or GS-12 level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. Specialized experience includes designing and preparing fiscal reports, interpreting human resource policies and directives, reviewing and approving procurement activities, and communicating and providing guidance to staff on administrative issues.
