Job Description

Fait Distribution is a family-owned and operated wholesale contact lens distributor and buying group. We pride ourselves in projecting a professional image to our customers that is both confident and enthusiastic.

Our commitment to exceeding customer expectations and creating long-lasting relationships is driven by our dedicated Associates. Being part of a family-owned company like Fait Distribution is something special. We're a close-knit company where Associates are valued and truly drive and make an impact on our success.

As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration of our medium-sized network of servers, desktop systems, and communications devices using current technology. This includes managing Windows Server, Active Directory, and Workstation management, as well as Linux server management, Cisco switch management, and Hyper-V and VMware hypervisor management.

You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and team working skills, technical writing skills to document developed policies and procedures, and the ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities include network administration, including backup, recovery testing, e-mail systems, internet access, office systems, applications support, VOIP phone system management, and shipping systems management. You will also be responsible for supporting server, network, and desktop hardware, software, and applications, as well as rolling out hardware and software to ensure optimal deployment of resources.

Additionally, you will be responsible for managing small to medium-sized projects according to agreed-upon budgets and schedules, assisting with technology planning through ongoing research, and providing Tier 2 technical support for Fait end customers, internal staff, and sales reps.

Indicators of performance include timely communications, harmony within each functional team, and a positive perception of support from co-workers, team leaders, customers, vendors, and/or suppliers.

Improving the system is also a key responsibility, as all Fait Associates are responsible for documenting and fixing problems within the system. In addition, this role is responsible for improvement project participation, planning, communicating, and implementing solutions where possible.

Personal improvement is also encouraged, with Fait providing resources and support for education and training as needed.
