About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Developer and Analyst to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge web applications and websites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain new and existing web applications, ensuring seamless integration with our ERP and other databases.
  • Design and implement custom web applications and websites for university departments, leveraging modern front-end frameworks and technologies.
  • Write secure, optimized, and well-documented code, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with our Information Services and Integrated Marketing Communications teams to craft technical solutions that meet business needs.
  • Support the web development team by resolving technical issues related to our DXP platform, Microsoft IIS, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Communicate effectively with agency developers and serve as a backup for other developer team members during their absence.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in full-stack development, with a strong focus on modern front-end frameworks,.NET, React, SQL, and JavaScript.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs, Responsive web design, and mobile-first mindset.
  • Strong team player with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions and meeting business objectives.
  • Experience developing or remediating code to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA web accessibility standards.
  • Experience developing integrations between disparate systems and working in a MS Windows Server Environment (IIS) and MS SQL Server.
  • Effective communication and organization skills, with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work well in a team and individually, with a demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
