Position Summary:
The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager, is responsible for supporting all daily operations within the dispensary, contributing to a patient-focused team, and achieving the goals set by iAnthus. This role involves adhering to company policies and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with and educate patients in a welcoming manner
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms
  • Assist in qualifying patients for financial assistance programs
  • Maintain compliance with local and state regulations
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including record-keeping and communication
  • Provide timely feedback to management regarding patient experiences
  • Maintain accurate records related to patient intake, cash handling, and waste disposal
  • Participate in daily briefings to align on goals and messaging
  • Deliver exceptional and compassionate service to patients
  • Engage in monthly inventory assessments

Training and Development:

  • Ensure all patients receive a friendly and helpful greeting
  • Stay informed on HIPAA and confidentiality standards
  • Become proficient in inventory management and point-of-sale systems
  • Maintain current knowledge of products and proper dosages
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations
  • Update patient educational materials as needed
  • Participate in quarterly team meetings for continuous improvement

Sales and Business Development:

  • Review daily sales and best practices with team members
  • Receive training on patient services, including intake and product knowledge
  • Engage in daily briefings to ensure consistency in service
  • Provide compassionate and exceptional service to all patients

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license
  • Preferred experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in a high-transaction environment is preferred
  • Proficient organizational and decision-making skills
  • Computer literacy is required; POS experience is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a background check as per state guidelines

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day with rotating shifts
