Position Summary:
The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager, is tasked with supporting the daily operations of the dispensary, contributing to a patient-focused team, and fulfilling iAnthus's corporate objectives. This role involves adhering to company policies and ensuring compliance with all relevant state and local regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with and educate patients in a welcoming manner
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms
  • Assist in evaluating patients for our Verified Financial Hardship (VFH) program
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable local and state regulations
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including record-keeping and communication
  • Provide timely feedback to management regarding patient experiences
  • Ensure proper documentation for patient intake, cash handling, and waste disposal
  • Participate in daily briefings to align on objectives and messaging
  • Deliver compassionate and exemplary patient service consistently
  • Engage in monthly inventory assessments

Training & Development:

  • Ensure all patients receive a friendly and supportive greeting, creating a positive experience
  • Stay informed on HIPAA and confidentiality standards
  • Be proficient in inventory management and point-of-sale systems
  • Maintain current knowledge of products and appropriate dosages
  • Ensure compliance with iAnthus policies and local regulations among team members
  • Review and refresh patient educational materials
  • Participate in quarterly team meetings for ongoing development

Sales & Business Development:

  • Analyze daily sales and best practices to meet targets with team members
  • Be trained in patient services, including intake processes and product knowledge
  • Engage in daily briefings to ensure consistent messaging and goals
  • Provide outstanding and empathetic patient service

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Preferred experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math proficiency
  • Ability to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and decision-making abilities
  • Computer literacy is essential; experience with POS systems is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as per state guidelines
