Role Summary:
The Cannabis Retail Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager, is responsible for supporting all daily operations of the dispensary, contributing to a patient-focused team, and achieving company objectives. The role involves adhering to company policies and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage and educate customers in a friendly manner
  • Ensure customer intake forms are accurate and complete
  • Assist in qualifying customers for financial assistance programs
  • Maintain compliance with local and state regulations
  • Perform general office tasks, including filing and using email
  • Provide feedback to management regarding customer experiences
  • Maintain accurate recordkeeping for various operational documents
  • Participate in brief meetings at the start of each shift to align on goals
  • Deliver exceptional and compassionate customer service
  • Assist in monthly inventory reviews

Training & Development:
Ensure that all customers are greeted with a welcoming and compassionate attitude, making every interaction a positive experience. Stay informed on HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements. Maintain proficiency in inventory management and point-of-sale systems. Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and appropriate dosages. Ensure all team members adhere to company policies and local laws. Review and update educational materials for customers and participate in quarterly team meetings.

Sales & Business Development:
Review daily sales and best practices with team members to achieve targets. Be trained in customer service processes, including intake and product knowledge. Participate in brief meetings to ensure consistent messaging and goals. Provide excellent and compassionate customer service.

Ensure adherence to cultural principles and maintain the dispensary's aesthetic in line with the brand, including cleanliness and ambiance. Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and have reliable transportation. Experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service is preferred. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends. Strong communication skills and basic math proficiency are essential. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively within a team. Must be computer literate, with point-of-sale experience being advantageous. High school diploma required. Ability to pass a background check as per state guidelines.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day with rotating shifts. Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays. Capacity to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel throughout the workday. Ability to stand for extended periods and use a ladder for general repairs. Willingness to work in various environmental conditions.
