Billing Specialist Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Billing Specialist to join our accounting team in Louisville, Kentucky. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our accounting department.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal assistants to generate prebills and ensure timely billing and collections.
- Review and edit prebills, making adjustments as needed to ensure accuracy and adherence to firm policy.
- Communicate effectively with Billing Partners to resolve client billing issues and ensure invoices are approved and billed.
- Reconcile and maintain client accounts and accrual schedules.
- Partner with attorneys to review prebills and ensure entries are posted to the correct matters.
- Utilize the 3E system to edit and translate prebills into bills.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Elite, 3E, or ADERANT.
- Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information.
