Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Construction Controller to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. As the Construction Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations and ensuring the success of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts for construction projects.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify areas of improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and project profitability.

2. Financial Reporting and Controls:
  • Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.

3. Cash Flow Management:
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient funds for ongoing construction projects.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and collections.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely and accurate billing and payment processing.

4. Cost Control and Analysis:
  • Monitor project costs and expenses to ensure adherence to budgets.
  • Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations to optimize resource allocation.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce construction costs.

5. Financial Systems and Technology:
  • Utilize SAGE and Sage 300 software to manage construction financials effectively.
  • Maintain and update financial systems, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
  • Provide training and support to team members on financial software and tools.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction financial management or a similar role. Strong understanding of construction industry financials, including project budgets, costs, and revenue recognition. Proficient in using SAGE and Sage 300 software for construction accounting.
