Job Summary

Aiken Regional Medical Centers is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Unit Clerk/Care Team Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support services in a fast-paced medical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with patient care activities, including vital sign monitoring, blood glucose testing, and specimen collection.
  • Provide administrative support to the healthcare team, including data entry, charting, and communication with patients and families.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care and efficient unit operations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and test results.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure clear understanding of patient needs and care plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the unit.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program preferred.
  • Current CNA certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
